Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum
Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum
Opened in 1926, the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum is Japan's first public art museum. Instead of having a permanent exhibit, this museum showcases about 300 special temporary exhibits throughout the year. Some past exhibits include those of Vincent van Gogh and Claude Monet. This museum has open-call exhibitions and self planned exhibitions frequently in order to achieve the goal of making a reliable art community. The museum also provides workshops and tours, including museum tours and the Tobikan Yakang Kaikan Tour, for visitors of all ages.
