Senjojiki Cirque
"Senjojiki Cirque" straddles Komagane City and Miyata Village, in southern Nagano Prefecture. It is a magnificent glacial landform that spreads beneath Hokendake in the Central Alps. Senjojiki Cirque boasts an altitude of 2,612m, and is a bowl-shaped valley carved out by glaciers during the ice age 20,000 years ago. The magnificent view here from above the clouds can be accessed by anybody via a mountain ropeway. Many photographers visit for photo opportunities.Within the premises is a promenade that takes about 40 minutes to walk, and from here you can enjoy the scenery with the seasonal alpine plants. You can relax and enjoy the nature of the plateau. In the surrounding area, there is Hayataro Onsenkyo hot springs, where a dip in the spring water is said to give beautiful skin. The hot spring is characterized by its lack of odor and color, and has a mellow quality that is soft and moisturizing to the skin. Because it is located at a relatively high altitude in Komagane City, the vast view from the hot spring is also superb.
